Andy a.k.a Andessen is a photographer from Singapore who fell in love with Ao Nang, Krabi since his first visit in November 2010.
The chill-out small beach town vibe, glorious sunset view and simplicity of life gave him much reasons to ponder a move from the fast-pace lion city to a quieter scene of nature’s greenery, limestone mountains and the Andaman sea. His first approach was initially to re-visit Krabi several times over the course of the next few years and become an expert in the area where he can pursue his interest and enhance his skills in environmental portraiture and landscape photography.
However, a budding relationship with a Thai national soon hasten his resolve and after a few stressful months of research, planning and negotiation, he moved to Krabi in May 2011 to start up Aonang Haven with her. After two months of hard work, they welcomed their first guests.
To date, Aonang Haven have welcomed guests from all over the world, and many had left good comments either from their stay at the guesthouse or a visit for massage.
Andy sacrificed a large part of his time in the first developing years of Aonang Haven in implementing the design, renovation, marketing, management and daily running of the business. It is a small success now seeing Aonang Haven become what it is today so that he can now relinquish some of these responsibilities to his staff and re-focus on his photography interest.
In his first years here in Krabi and Thailand, Andy have picked up the language, made new friends, explored popular attractions, became amazed by hidden gems, and discovered some of the best ways to really enjoy Krabi at its best.
Now, up on the walls of Aonang Haven are his revelation of the beauty of Krabi as seen through his eyes and felt by his soul.
